1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing.
2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape.
3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle.
4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.

Step 1
Mark off the width and height of the picture. Draw an oval for the basic shape of the head and body of the bat. Add a line through the center of the oval.
Step 2
Show the direction of the bat's wings, marking with a semicircle the upper part of the mammal.
Step 3
Draw guidelines for legs and wings and outline the shape of the body.
Step 4
Draw the shape of legs, forefeet and ears. With light lines, show some inner parts of the wings.
Step 5
Add some lines to show the form of the ears and the proportions of the facial features. Draw the membranes of the bat's wings.
Step 6
Add some lines to show the form of the head. Delineate the face, toes and tail.
Step 7
Work on the figure by drawing nostrils, wrists, knees and wing thumbs. Pay attention to the form of the feet.
Step 8
Contour, trying to vary the thickness and blackness of the line. Add some extra details such as trees. Erase all guidelines.
