I would like to know how to use a video as a wallpaper or screensaver? It will be more fun to look at a video than an image when I open my computer and when it goes to screensaver mode. Anyone know how to allow my desktop wallpaper to be dynamic. Thanks in advance.

However, this will disappear when you close the VLC media player.

b. DreamScene Video Wallpaper

DreamScene was only released for Windows Vista Ultimate Edition. However, DreamScene Activator can also be downloaded by users running other Windows operating system in order to use DreamScene on their computers. After downloading the program, run the .exe file and a small window should appear. Click enable Dreamscene and you can start using this small and simple but efficient tool. Right click on the video that you wish to use as a wallpaper and click set as desktop background. Almost all video formats supported by Windows Media Player are supported by DreamScene like WMV, MPEG and AVI.

c. iScreensaver Designer

The two methods provided above can be used to make videos as wallpaper on your computer. However, those will disappear when you close the software programs. If you want to make your videos as screensaver, you can use iScreensaver Designer. This is compatible with both Windows and Mac.

When you first use the program, the wizard will guide you on how to make screensaver from video. Once you completed the tutorial, you can start using the video you created as your screensaver. Change the screensaver on your computer as you normally do and choose the file name of your created file. There are several advantages that you can get from using this program. First, it is a cross platform tool so the screensavers you create are compatible on both Windows and Mac. You don't have to make video screensaver Mac separately as you can use the one that you created for Windows. It also allows creation of installer for the screensaver so you can share it to your friends. It supports drag and drop so you can conveniently add the videos, as well as images and audio files that you would like to use on your screensaver.
